Physical Hub

The EFH will offer a physical platform which will act as a catalyst to enhance the ethical finance sector locally and promote effective engagement in the sector beyond Scotland.

By offering premises, the EFH will create a hive of activity and centre point for players in ethical finance to base their activities, share experiences and exchange ideas. It is anticipated that the cluster effect will lead to the development of new products, commissioning of new research, attracting of new businesses and creation new jobs for Scotland.

A One-Stop-Shop

Space at the EFH will be available to organisations active in ethical finance sector and the hub will act as a one-stop-shop to facilitate links to local, UK and international markets. The cluster effect will provide a platform for tenants and visitors to enhance innovation, entrepreneurship, new product development and awareness in ethical finance.

Prospective hosts include:

• Academic / Professional institutions

• Charities / Social enterprises

• Asset / Wealth Managers

• Banks

• Professional services organisation (i.e. lawyer, accountant, consultant)

Prospective tenants include:

• Commercial financial services businesses with an existing presence in Edinburgh

• Financial services focussed third sector organisations with an existing presence in Edinburgh

• Organisations active in Scottish financial services sector but based outside of Edinburgh

• New entrants to Scottish financial services market
